AMANI F. M radio Station is licensed by the Communications Commission of Kenya. In accepting its license, the station accepts as its primary purpose and function as stipulated by CCK Rules and Regulations, the responsibility to “Serve in the public interest, convenience and necessity”. The Licensee is obligated to make a continuing, active search to determine the needs of the community served, and to fulfil those needs to the best of its ability. Therefore, one primary purpose of AMANI F. M is to serve in the public interest, convenience and necessity within the assigned listening area. AMANI F. M is licensed as a non-commercial radio station under the direct supervision of the Community Radio Council. The station operates as a radio broadcast for community members of Tana Delta area and falls under the umbrella of a registered Community based organization herein referred to as Amani Centre which is a developing hub intended to provide space for several ICT-related peace building initiatives that can complement each other for synergy and positive impact.
